Epi package for epidemiological analysis in R

• The Epi package is mainly focused on "classical" chronic disease epidemiology.
• The package has grown out of the course Statistical Practice in Epidemiology using R.
  It has been used at the EEPE course in 2005.
  
• The Epi package is available from the R homepage.
  Alternatively, you can from a running R session on a computer on the net just type:
  > install.packages( "Epi" )
  
• The latest version of Epi on CRAN is 0.4.
• The latest version (0.5.7) in progress is here as zip file for Windows and tar file.
  
  • Not the final version, so it may contain bugs and errors.
  • Earlier, current and progress versions of the Epi package are available here.
  • Any version newer than 0.5.7 is subject to change without notice.
  • The next official version on CRAN will be 0.6.

• Epi is not the only R-package for epidemiological analysis, a package with more affinity to infectious disease epidemiology is the epitools package.
