- Contents: The workshop will be a slightly shorter version
of the course presented by Bendix Carstensen in Melbourne in
February 2008, see

- Venue:Lower ground of the Napier Building, Napier LG12,
University of Adelaide, North Terrace. Opposite the Walter Young
Garden (reference J11 on the campus map, available
here).
- Cost: $50 for SSAI members and $80 for non-members, with a
student rate of $25 for members and $40 for non-members.

- Computing requirements:
Participants are assumed to bring their own computer.
The practicals will run in R, so the following should be installed:
- R:
Install the latest version of R, 2.8.1, available from the
R
homepage. (Click on "CRAN" under "Download" in the left side).
Additionally, please install the R-packages:
- The R-packages Epi, BRugs,
R2WinBUGS and coda by issuing the command
from inside R:
install.packages(c("Epi","BRugs","R2WinBUGS","coda"))
- The R-package MethComp version 0.5.2. This
is not (yet) officially available at CRAN (the official package
repository for R). You can get the Windows binary
file MethComp_0.5.2.zip from
here . This should be unzipped in the folder:
C:\Program files\R\R-2.8.1\library (or wherever you
have installed R).
- WinBUGS:
Is not really needed if you
install BRugs You can get it from
here.
Remember to register as a user and get a free key file to get it working.
- Reading:
- Practicals in
pdf-format. Beware: 92 pages as it also contains the manual pages for
the MethComp package. You may want to print only the first
24 pages (or 57 if you want the practicals solutions too).
- Slides,
