Cardiac Output
An investigation conducted by Nilsson et al. (2004) included 80
patients who each had eight consecutive measurements of cardiac output
(in L/min) taken (except for a single patient where one observation is
missing for technical reasons). One additional measurement was deleted
because of an obvious error in measurement.
The main purpose of the study was to determine the precision of the
measurements, and in particular to see whether this precision could be
related to covariates.
Variable list:
person: Identification number for the patient
(to keep track of the 8 measurements on the same individual)
gender: Gender of the patient
0: Female
1: Male
age: Age of the patient
weight: Weight of the patient
height: Height of the patient
pacemake: Does the patient use pacemaker?
0: No
1: Yes
hr: Heart rate
serialno: The serial number indexing the eight consecutive
measurements for each patient
cardout: The cardiac output measured
